We never miss a stop at CHAD's. It's right near the Bank of America in Tavernier. Over sized portions, fresh bakery, and great customer service only add to it's reputation for wonderful tasting food.

I think FEMA has alot of nerve to pick on all conchinians. I'm sure there are far greater threats to emergency managers than ground floor storage/occaisonal guest room usage in the Conch Republic. Let's face it. We all may live, work, and enjoy life from mm 124 to mm 0, and on a very narrow piece of land surrounded by water, but we haven't had the history of disaster that many mainland areas have experienced. FEMA. Put your efforts into something more beneficial to all than recommending all illegal gound floor areas be torn down in our ightly populated area, the Conch Republic.

Conch shell blowing with 119 other Conchinians (those are Conch people) was great. We were told a film of us was sent to Guiness World Book Records. Hope that they accept this. All activities during this week were great. Especially enjoyed the bed races. We have so many interesting activities in the keys. Although this celebration was in the Upper Keys, Key West also sponsored a similar event.

I think this year's lobster season was too short. Some trouble seeeing those little guys in the water. Afew were captured and enjoyed by all. I'm looking forward to next summer for pre-season. All will enjoy the search for the next few months, and of course the start of stone crab season. What do crab fishermen use for bait in those traps that we always hit the buoys that are connected to them?
